I have watched this all grow for the past 19 years from Stage 5 at Walnut Valley Festival, where I met most of them, and watching this trailer, I have so much confidence in the inevitability of national acceptance as the europeans have already embraced.
I will add that these featured in this film have been ( and still do ) come to the aide of friends, family and people they have never met to assist in the giving of their time and music to benefit where it is needed most. My hat is off to you for meeting the challenge to educate the masses, and to them for the recognition they all well deserve.
thanks Lata, cool stuff, WNSP rocks
This is Great. BeauCoup kudos to ya’ll.
Thank you Lata for having heart and passion for the life of Red Dirt. You were born to accomplish many things. Telling this story may be one of your greatest achievements. Thank you for answering the call.
The trailer looks fantastic!! I can’t wait to see the film!
Great job, Lata! Looking forward to viewing the entire project. Tulsa will welcome you with open arms!
Loved the trailer. But, man you’re a tease. When are we going to get to see this thing. And please book a bunch of dates in Tulsa, because I’m sure you’ll sell it out again and again.
I heard Stella made the film, I’m the proudest dad in the world. She’s actually taking piano lessons from a terrific teacher and taking violin in school. And she’s kickin’ ass. Watch out Crouch and Frisco!!!! I think that night at Monica’s house really influenced her to love music. I can’t thank you and all the other musicians around here enough for that. Long live Red Dirt and the Tulsa Sound!!!!
Andy. Great to hear from you man! Yep there is a scene with Stella sitting at Monica’s piano and you teaching her a scale. We used it to reference the fact that young people in the scene are surrounded by great music from a very young age. I think you will love it. See you soon man! Tom told me I would be their guest at Science sometime in May so, hope to see you there.
The Trailer looks great. Fantastic project! Can’t wait
Yeah, what they said. Incredible! Can’t wait to see it all.
Beautiful images Lata. I can’t wait to watch the entire film. On behalf of the City of San Marcos Texas, I congratulate you, Matt and Scott, and wish you the greatest success with this film. We are proud of you. JT

Lata,
This left me speechless, while wanting, more and more and more. To say this is a work of art is not even enough. I had the chills watching the heart in this film. I am a junkie for music documentaries, but this segment moved me emotionally. I simply can’t wait to watch the whole thing. Thank you so much for sharing this. I will in turn do the same!!
WOW WOW WOW
Peace
Michele
Wow! I am just simply blow away by this! Wonderful.
A work of art…can’t wait to see it entirely!
Wow Lata. Great to see your film taking shape. We all are humbled and proud that you guys thought enough of what we do to make this. Tulsa for the World Premier ? Sure hope so. Thanks to you and Matt. Viva la Red Dirt !!!
John, thanks for your support. What you guys do is the truly inspiring thing. I just want to make it more accessible in a world that’s lost track of its own roots. That’s what matters here, to show people that there is another way.
20 years I have known you but only recently rediscovered you. What a great gain. Your documentary is truly unique, like you are. Your performances move one, and your friendship enriches. Thank you for brightening up my existence. Muah!
Cant wait to see the rest. Thanks, Lata!
