18th April 2010

Today I exchanged a couple of emails with PJ Moore down in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. This is near where Randy Crouch lives and it is also where The Current is based. Last year, PJ helped my get in touch with Chris Brownsberger (Randy’s agent) and really helped me a lot. She calls herself a Red Dirt cheerleader and, in a way, that is exactly what she does. So much passion for this music, so much belief in the people who play it, so much love for the community it serves. It’s unbelievable to me that someone will put so much love and dedication into something that does not pay. She offered to help me get sponsorship for a dedicated website and to promote the film in any way she can. She’s a sweetheart! No fee… just the love of Red Dirt Music. People like PJ are as important to the Red Dirt family as the musicians. This is what it is really all about. I hope the film can convey that, to a certain extent.

  1. We do love Moore & Moore! I use the term coordinator as properly speaking Crouch is unmanageable!
