I just chatted to John Cooper from the Rangers. We were talking about me showing the film at the circle theatre in Tulsa and he suggested the Church Studio. Apparently it would hold more people. For those who don’t know, Church Studios was the home of Shelter Records in Leon Russell’s hayday. Everybody has walked through those doors, from Clapton to Harrison, Hendrix, Dylan, Marley… that’s what I heard anyway. At one point int the late 60s/early 70s, Leon had the world at his feet and, hence, the company he kept. Concert from Bangladesh gives you a glimpse of what a tremendous musical leader he was. Anyway, the Red Dirt Rangers are going into that studio again with Steve Ripley to do another record. They have made albums in there before… just not for a while
