I submitted my first article for the Blues Society of Tulsa. They liked it but it was too long, so they’re going to spread it over several issues. I feel kind of honoured that they are going to publish my scribblings. They’re calling it “A view from London”. I like it. I have also been dreaming of going back to Tulsa. I wish I could afford to go over there and make a record with some of those musicians. There is this one song in particular that I would give an arm and a leg to record with Steve Pryor. It’s called “Your weaker side”. My home demo is very JJ Cale..ish, or at least it’s what I was going for; straight drum machine, Honky Tonk bass and layers. It sounds rough but I keep imagining a ¾ Blues and Pryor running wild on it.
